Unit Code: EEB762

Unit Name: Telecommunication Systems

Description: This course aims to explain and analyse the communication systems used in analogue and digital communication systems. To do this, a survey of linear analogue and digital modulation is given. Comparisons are made between practical modulation schemes in the presence of noise in terms of bandwidth, signal-to-noise ratio and complexity. The course then looks at the principles and practice of coding for reliable and efficient communication over noisy channels.
