Unit Name: Education, Culture & Diversity

Description: This course explores current issues and philosophies in the inclusion of Pacific cultures and other diversity areas in Fiji?s curriculum via a multicultural education lenses. The course looks at the international /regional work on the area and examines Fiji?s own trajectory of including students? home cultures in a balanced curriculum. The class involves lectures, student participation, presentations and attention to current regional and world events as they pertain to the education and multicultural understanding of our students and educators.
