Unit Name: Language Study 1 (I-Taukei/Hindi/Urdu)

Description: Urdu Language is the compulsory vernacular language taught in primary schools. This unit provides a foundation for Urdu Language teacher trainees to develop their language proficency and examine the literary practices essential for lower primary classes. It is the first of the two courses Urdu Language units on offer for primary student teachers. This course offers an introduction to a socio-cultural and developmental view of Language Learning. Students will study the process of comprehending and composing and also develop teaching strategies and resources in Urdu Language to support these processes. During the course students will be also introduced to jameel noori nastaliq typing.
