Unit Name: Dental Laboratory Practice Management

Description: The purpose of this course is to provide students knowledge and experience in relation to legal responsibilities, professional bodies, professional conduct and business management involved in setting up and operating a dental laboratory. It also introduces students to a working environment through the laboratory practice focusing on cross infection control, work flow mechanisms, product quality control, communication mechanisms between laboratory, clinic and patient.
