Unit Name: Renewable Energy Project

Description: You will first select a project. Then plan your project. Then you will carry out analysis, and testing procedures, conduct and manage your project and then do a seminar presentation. Finally, you will submit a written final report.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: 1. Apply existing knowledge and skills to a specified renewable energy engineering project. 2. Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations. 3. Demonstrate knowledge of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technician practice and solutions to well defined engineering problems. 4. Identifies the major factors that have impacts on the sustainability of practical and technical project work. 5. Demonstrates an understanding of the moral responsibilities of an engineering technician and upholds standards in the engineering profession. 6. Contributes constructively to team decision-making, earning other team members\' trust and confidence. 7. Communicate effectively on well-defined engineering activities with the engineering community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend the work of others, document their own work, and give and receive clear instructions. 8. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of engineering management principles and apply these to one’s own work, as a member or leader in a technical comprehending the work of others, documenting their own work, and giving and receiving team and to manage projects in multidisciplinary environments. 9. Demonstrates self-awareness of own level of competence and identifies opportunities to extend own competence in a timely manner.
