Learning Target Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this unit DME451, the student is expected to: • Demonstrates principles to be observed in an engineering watch at sea in a safe manner • Determine basic constriction and operation of machinery systems • Operate a safe engine room watch with aid of the marine engine simulator • Sketch and describe machinery components • Relate to safe operation on marine machinery • Understand how various pipes and fittings are joined together
