Unit Name: Introduction to Communication Literacy

Description: COM303 offers learners the opportunity to grasp the four main components of the English Language that should enhance students\\\' communication and literacy skills in the work field. The course will prepare students to become effective and confident communicators and will include lessons in public speaking, basic communication techniques and presentation skills as well as relevant exercises that will enhance literacy, or reading and writing abilities.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: i. Understand the basic fundamentals of the English Language and be able to use them efficiently . ii. Write grammatically correct sentences and paragraphs. iii. Develop speaking and presentation skills and become confident communicators. iv. Enhance the level of reading and literacy skills in the relevant field. v. Listen, understand and follow instructions clearly in the relevant field.
