Unit Name: Multimedia and Communication

Description: This course offers students an understanding about Multimedia and Communication whereby the current technology and tools such as text, images, sound and video are utilized to deliver messages and content in meaningful ways. It is about designing, organizing and producing multimedia project of all kind and avoiding technical and legal pitfalls along the way.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to understand the following: 1. Categorize the building blocks of multimedia, including text, images, audio, video, and animation. 2. Design the process, and edit digital audio. 3. Differentiate with bitmap, vector, and 3-D images. 4. Criticize vivid computer animations. 5. Convey the best hardware, software, and authoring tools for your needs. 6. Demonstrate dynamic Web content. 7. Criticize the scope and cost of a multimedia project. 8. Categorize the appropriate content and best talent. 9. Demonstrate and deliver a professional multimedia project.

Prerequisite: The student must have passed CIN501
