Unit Name: Web application Development

Description: This course offers students an understanding of developing Web Applications and simultaneously developing a wide range of fundamental skills and knowledge associated with web site design and the web. The course provides the student with a practical foundation in using markup languages and style sheet language that are core technologies for building web pages. HTML, HTML5, CSS or certain HTML scripting language will be used for constructing web solutions.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to: 1. Understand the web, structure of documents and how this relates to Web Design. 2. Use HTML to construct web sites. 3. Use CSS to change the appearance of HTML pages. 4. Use web analytics and hosting services to ensure successful deployment of Websites.
