Unit Name: Multimedia Design Principle

Description: This course offers students an understanding about Multimedia Design Principle whereby the current technology and tools such as text, images, sound and video are utilized to deliver messages and content in meaningful ways. It is about designing, organizing and producing a multimedia project of all kind and avoiding technical and legal pitfalls along the way.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students should be able to understand the following: 1. Categorise the building blocks of multimedia, including text, images, audio, video, and animation 2. Design the process, and edit digital audio 3. Differentiate with bitmap, vector, and 3-D images 4. Convey the best hardware, software, and authoring tools for your needs 5. Convey the features that may be useful to the developer of multimedia for the World Wide Web 6. Criticise the scope and cost of a multimedia project 7. Categorise the appropriate content and best talent 8. Demonstrate and deliver a professional multimedia project
