Unit Name: Hardware Fundamental & Practice

Description: This course offers students an understanding of the various hardware components and simultaneously developing a wide range of fundamental skills and knowledge associated with computing and networking devices. Hardware Fundamentals and Practices relates to the tangible components of a computer system.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to understand the following: 1. Use the keyboard in a competent manner. 2. Work effectively in a typical IT environment. 3. Recognize, and state the functions of, normal computer system components. 4. Recognize, make, and understand the function of, selected network devices.

Prerequisite: Passed Year 12 or Equivalent.
