Unit Code: CHM924

Unit Name: Organimetallic Chemistry and Catalysis

Description: This course builds upon the basic knowledge imparted in inorganic and organic chemistry courses by strengthening the fundamental concepts of organometallic chemistry and augmenting it by providing in-depth knowledge of reactions and their mechanisms and an overview of catalytic processes occurring through organometallic compounds and intermediates. It would also provide an account of the application of organometallic compounds in homogeneous and heterogenous catalysis in industry and in the fabrication of new materials.
