Unit Name: Chemistry of Dyes and Pigments
Description: Chemistry of dyes and pigments course is designed to cover the specific needs of students desirous of entrepreneurs and those of taking assignments in industry and related consultancy works and R&D professionals. Course will cover the chemistry, reactions and properties of main classes of inorganic and organic pigments and dyes, their applications and test methods, as well as their environmental and health implications. Laboratory/Project component will include hands on training in synthesis, characterization and stability studies of selected dyes and pigments and their combinations.
