Unit Name: Design, properties & Inspection of Welded Joint

Description: This course is devoted largely to the selection of methods for evaluating welded joints.

Learning Target Outcomes: 1. Evaluate welded joints. 2. Practice and maintain the safety and the service life of a weld joint due to correct design. 3. Differentiate the types of weld joint applied to the varieties of the welding process 4. Describe the principle methods of inspection used to determine the soundness, quality and efficiency of the welded joint. 5. Design welding joints to overcome welding defects.
