Unit Name: Basic Fabrication Drawing 1

Description: The purpose of this unit is to enable the development of knowledge and understanding required for Engineering information, basic engineering drawing and valuable symbols that concrete bases contribute to welding works. Technical drawing, drafting or draughting, is the act and discipline of composing drawings that visually communicate how something functions or is to be constructed. The technical drawing is essential for communicating ideas in industry and engineering.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: 1. Select an information source to undertake the work task. 2. Record and process engineering information. 3. Set out A3 paper on the drawing board. 4. Read welding symbols and their uses in fabrication and structural component 5. Draw geometric constructions 6. Draw ellipse using six methods of constructions.
