Unit Name: Basic Fabrication Development

Description: The purpose of this unit is to enable the development of knowledge and understanding required for safety and maintaining good work relationships with supervisory staff and for other people or members of the same working groups and other employees in the same organization.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, you should be able to: 1. Maintain effective working relationships with supervisory staff. 2. Maintain working relationships with other people, members of the same working groups and other employees in the same organization. 3. Explain the statutory requirements for general health and safety at work. 4. Explain Accident and first aid procedures. 5. Explain the Fire precautions and procedures. 6. Explain the importance of protective clothing and equipment. 7. Demonstrate the Safe working practices while using cutting and forming tool, portable power tools, oxy-fuel-gas brazing and welding, electric arc welding, cutting processes and while working on site.
