Unit Name: Fitting and Machining Process C

Description: To provide the students with the knowledge and skills required for advance turning, milling, boring and grinding operations.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Identify suitable tool and use a lathe to produce machining to irregular shapes within close tolerances and also tools to set out , mark out , adjust equipment and cut various forms of spur gears. 2. Select use and care of hand and power tools. 3. Exercise through performing slotting on engineering component. 4. Read measuring instruments and perform marking out.
