Unit Name: Services Provided for Palliative Care/ Dementia and assistance for their medications

Description: Understanding different types of Palliative Care and Dementia including hospice care is devoted to achieving the best possible quality of life for patients and their families facing a life-threatening or terminal illness, through relief of symptoms and aggressive management of other sources of suffering. The interdisciplinary care addresses physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs. This unit involves learning Palliative care, Care for the Dementia and the importance of knowing Hospice Care.

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: Completion of Year 12 or they may be admitted on the basis of maturity, work experience or prior learning.
