Unit Name: Civil Engineering Project

Description: Sometimes the site engineers are required to carry out certain project tasks relevant to water supply, road and land survey, design of low cost bridges, design of form work for construction, construction of timber building by utilizing the principles of hydraulics, surveying, engineering mechanics and materials technology. This project course will provide you to work on a specific task in a team of student group consist of 4 to 6. You will utilise your basic concepts of mathematics, science, and engineering knowledge such as mechanics, materials technology, surveying and hydraulics. This course will help you to understand the team work and integrity of work and presentation skills. You will be learning certain IT skills and spread sheet knowledge to complete the calculations and design of the project. End of this course you will be exposed to how to carry out a given project task individually.
