Unit Name: Remote Sensing and GIS Applications

Description: Civil enginers are often involved in development and execution of many infrastructure projects. For successful completion of a project there is a need to have clear planning with required information. This course introduces the fundamental concepts, advanced principles and application of remote sensing and GIS to the various civil engineering applications such as water resources, roads, soil mapping, natural hazards and mico zonation etc. You will be able to utilize the GIS and Remote Sensing Applications in the development of civil projects.
