Unit Name: Urban Storm Water and Environmental Management

Description: Nowadays due to urbanisation and development of urban infrastructure, engineers are facing challenges towards maintenance and control of storm water and its quality. It is very essential for the engineers to understand the concepts of urban storm water and its quantity and quality estimation. This course will enable you to understand and identify the factors affecting urban hydrological cycle. You will learn how to estimate and assess urban water demand and urban stormwater quantity. This course also provides you knowledge how to plan and design stormwater control and disposal systems. At the end of the course you will be able to understand how develop an integrated urban water management system.
