Unit Name: Fish Nutrition and Feed Formulation

Description: Nutritional requirements of cultivable fish and shellfish; Feed formulation and manufacturing. Forms of feeds: wet feeds, moist feeds, dry feeds, mashes, pelleted feeds, floating and sinking pellets. Feed additives: binders, antioxidants, enzymes, pigments, growth promoters, feed stimulants. Determination of various intestinal enzyme activities; Isolation of bacterial flora producing protease, amylase, cellulase and lipase; Types of feeding - Natural feeding.
