Unit Name: Preliminary Biology I

Description: The purpose of this course is to provide a basic knowledge on biology. This course provides to pupils to demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts of biology.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Generalisations and summarise the observed phenomena in basic concepts of biology. 2. Explain the theories and models in the basic concepts of biology. 3. Develop the ability to communicate biological ideas precisely and concisely. 4. To use scientific equipment accurately to construct and interpret tables, charts, and graphs and find relevant information from a reference source.

Prerequisite: Form 5 Biology or equivalent

Prerequisite Sentence: Minimum Entry Requirement of the programme
