Unit Name: Automotive Environmental Sustainability Practices

Description: This unit describes the performance outcomes required to apply and monitor environmental regulations and sustainability best practice whilst undertaking mechanical service or repair of light or heavy vehicles, motorcycles, outdoor power equipment or their components in the automotive mechanical industry.

Learning Target Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the skills on how to investigate and report accidents. 2. Apply proper control strategies for safe vehicle operations. 3. Investigate the environmental responsibilities and penalties. 4. Use methods to avoid contamination of water and land. 5. Utilize the correct methods to avoid air and noise hazards.
