Unit Name: ICE Technology Workshop

Description: To provide students with application of skill of internal combustion engines and enable the students to acquire an in-depth practical knowledge of fault diagnostic and rectification procedures and also the importance of the service requirements. Students will also learn the basic fine tuning of the control and operating system. This also enables the students to find a fault efficiently.

Learning Target Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Demonstrate the standard service and test in accordance with the workshop repair manual on the Top End. 2. Demonstrate the standard service and test in accordance with workshop repair manual on the Bottom End. 3. Demonstrate the standard service and test in accordance with workshop repair manual on the Front End. 4. Demonstrate the standard service routine in accordance with workshop repair manuals on cooling and lubrication system. 5. Carry out repairs and tests engine mechanical problems and follow up on latest trends and development in the automotive industry.
