Unit Name: Electrical Principles

Description: This introductory course covers basic electronic theory and utilization of electrical measuring instruments. Emphasis will be placed on the application of Ohm\'s Law and the proper utilization of electronic test equipment including practice with equipment and circuits.

Learning Target Outcomes: 1. Describe basic Motor Vehicle electrical and electronic fundamentals and circuits. 2. Explain Motor Vehicle electrical and electronic systems. 3. Explain uses of electrical test equipment and methods of testing electrical/electronic components. 4. Describe procedures for testing/replacing electrical/electronic units and record Battery Parts, capacity ratings and common battery test.
