Unit Name: Fuel System

Description: This course offers students an understanding of the concept of automotive fuel systems. It also enable students to acquire an in depth practical knowledge of mechanical and basic electrical/electronic fuel system or components.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: i. Describe fuel supply systems and the function of each component. ii. Explain standard tests on various engine fuel components using workshop manuals. iii. Describe the standard service and test procedures by workshop repair manual on the engine fuel system. iv. Describe the different types of fuel pumps in an engine. v. Describe the different types of fuel injectors in an engine.
