Description: This course offers the students an understanding of the concept of compression ignition engines. Also enable students to acquire an in-depth knowledge of compression ignition engine components and their operating principles.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: i. Describe the service and repair procedures for engine top end construction. ii. Describe the service and repair procedures for engine bottom end construction. iii. Explain the service and repair procedures for engine front end construction. iv. Detail service requirements for engine operating systems. v. Explain the trends and development on engine.
