Unit Name: Vehicle Electrical & Electronics System

Description: This course offers a variety of assessment criteria which enhance the ability of the individuals to demonstrate knowledge of functions of various motor vehicle electrical & electronics systems such as starting, charging, lighting, ignition and auxiliary systems.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: i. Describe the operation of the starting and charging systems. ii. Discuss the components and the operation of lighting systems. iii. Explain the function of components and the operation of horn, wiper and fuel gauge circuits. iv. Explain the operation of power door locks, windows and seats. v. Explain the function of components and the operation of conventional ignition systems.
