Unit Name: Vehicle Electrical Fundamentals

Description: This unit enables students to acquire an in - depth knowledge of engine fuel system and electrical/ electronics system major component identification and functions.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: i. Identify basic Motor Vehicle electrical and electronic components. ii. Describe basic Motor Vehicle electrical and electronic circuits. iii. Explain the uses of electrical test equipment and methods of testing electrical/electronic components. iv. Describe different types of Automotive wiring, components and symbols. v. Explain the principles of capacitance and magnetism.

Prerequisite: Minimum Entry Requirements of the programme

Prerequisite Sentence: Year 11 Pass
