Unit Name: Applied Apiculture

Description: This course allows students to be able to know the definition of Apiculture, its diseases and how it could be controlled in a sustainable manner. You will be able to describe the common names, scientific names, distribution, life cycle of honey bees and its diseases of agricultural importance. This course also provides you with ideal knowledge on sustainable practices and ecological concepts in managing apicultures. This Surveys, surveillance and estimation of its economical importance will also be covered. Proper usage and maintenance of apiculture equipments, features and its functions.Sustainable practices in managing some common honey bee diseases.
