Unit Name: Social Research Methods II
Description: Welcome to this Course. I hope that you will find this course empowering and fulfilling. This unit, which builds on Social Research Methods I, provides you with the necessary academic and practical skills to conceptualize, design and implement a viable research project. The emphasis is on equipping you with: (a) the ability to select the appropriate research methodology and, (b) the capacity to carry out both quantitative and qualitative analysis. You will therefore get to engage in practical exercises where you will be required to align research philosophy to research methodology as well as hands-on training in both Qualitative and Quantitative data analysis. Statistical analysis is also covered in sessions on inferential and descriptive statistics.
