Unit Name: Social and Political Thoughts

Description: The purpose of this Unit is to provide a philosophical foundation in the central themes of social and political thought. The syllabus seeks to cover those ideas and traditions that will be most relevant and useful for students of social sciences. For this reason, the content of the course is broad in nature, and serves as an overview of many areas of social and political thought. We will examine and discuss both the traditional terrain and how these ideas relate to a Fijian or Pacific context.
