Unit Name: Introduction to Microbiolgy

Description: This Course deals with basic concepts in microbiology and immunolgy and includes history, classification, nomenclature, morphology, growth, nutrition, reproduction, isolation, identification, genetics, pathogenicity, transmission and resistance of bacteria, fungi and viruses. Immunology and serology component will deal with concepts of the immune system and its components; immune responses, hypersensitivity, serological reactions, vaccination and biologicals.
