Unit Name: AC Instrument Systems 2

Description: This unit should provide the student with a sound understanding of the operating principles and applications of the engine and associated instruments. Also, this module is to give the student a sound understanding of the operating principles and applications of the various aircraft instrument systems.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to; a) Describe the operating principles of the various temperature sensing elements and their use in aircraft instruments. b) Describe the operation of engine speed indicating systems. c) Describe the operation of engine power indicating systems. d) Describe the operation of Fuel Quantity indicating systems. e) Explain the operation of Fuel Flow indicating systems. f) Explain the operation of Engine vibration indicating systems. g) Interpret the information presented on the various types of electronic instrument display systems such as EICAS, ECAM and FMCS.
