Unit Name: Internship

Description: This course will provide practical experience to the students. Opportunity will be given to students to get experience in the area of agripreneurship, horticulture, agronomy, plant protection, crop improvement, supply chain management, agricultural marketing, crop extension and animal husbandry depending on the enrolled programmeme. The duration of this attachment will be for one quarter. As a result of successfully completing this unit students will be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of competence in adoption and application of sustainable agronomic farming practices, soil fertility management, insect and disease management, transfer of improved technologies in field, biodiversity, farm management, conservation practices, handling of farm produce for proper harvesting and storage by proper management practices.

Prerequisite: N/A

Prerequisite Sentence: Summer Year 1: the student must be enrolled in the programme and have passed at least 50% of prescribed units up to first year of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Crop Science) programme. Summer Year 2:The student must have passed in total at least 50% of prescribed units of ester 1 & 2 of year 1and ester 1 of year 2 Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Crop Science) programme.
