Unit Name: Industrial Attachment

Description: This course will provide practical experience to the students. The opportunity will be given to students to get experience in the area of entrepreneurship, horticulture, agronomy, plant protection, crop improvement, supply chain management, agricultural marketing, crop extension and animal husbandry depending on the enrolled programme. The duration of this attachment will be for one quarter. As a result of successfully completing this unit students will be able to demonstrate an acceptable level of competence in adoption and application of sustainable agronomic farming practices, soil fertility management, insect and disease management, transfer of improved technologies in the field, biodiversity, farm management, conservation practices, handling of farm produce for proper harvesting and storage by proper management practices.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1.2.1 Exercise skills to meet the agricultural industry needs. 1.2.2 Relate to the farm objectives and operations. 1.2.3 Compare agricultural technologies and exercise skills for sustainable farming. 1.2.4 Compare and check for business opportunities for self-employment. 1.2.5 Exercise competent skills for agriculture employment in future.

Prerequisite: Student must have completed all units for Bachelors of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry
