Unit Name: Field Crop Husbandry

Description: The purpose of this unit is to provide: origin, geographic distribution, economic importance, soil and climatic requirement, varieties, cultural practices and yield of Cereals : rice, maize ,Tuber crops : cassava, dalo, sweet potato, yams. Pulses : pigeonpea, mungbean and urdbean . Oilseeds : groundnut, sesame and soybean. Fibre crops : cotton, jute and sunhemp and Forage crops : maize, cowpea, cluster bean and napier.
