Unit Name: Agronomy and Agrometerology

Description: The purpose of this unit is to provide information on principles of crop production and management including classification/naming of crops, growth and development, soils and plant nutrition, soil tillage and crop establishment, cropping systems, irrigation, weed management, harvesting and storage management. This unit will also familiarize students with the various elements of weather and climate and their measurement, various effects of weather and climate on crops, livestock and various agricultural activities and their management options.
