Unit Name: Agriculture for Engineers

Description: Agricultural Engineering technologists are expected to have background knowledge of the basic fundamental concepts in agronomic production and basic livestock management, including Integrated farming systems & management. Students will also learn the basics of soil sampling methods, soil testing (soil pH Testing), basic knowledge on different crop types & soil nutrients, Agronomic practices of common crops, IPM Practices, BAF role to Fiji?s Economy and Livestock management practices in ruminant and monogastrics animals.
