Unit Name: Farm Surveying & Levelling

Description: This unit will introduce you to the basic principles of surveying and leveling related to agricultural engineering. Often agricultural engineering technologists are called upon to prepare farm plans and to calculate areas of farms, experimental plots, volumes of fish ponds etc. This unit deals with chain and compassing surveying, differential leveling, interpreting contour maps and calculation of distances, areas, and volumes.
