Unit Name: Farm Power & Mechanization Practice

Description: This course provides basic knowledge of agricultural mechanization. Students will learn and demonstrate the different applications of farm tools, equipment and machines that are used in farming. Use of hand tools, animal-driven equipment, tractor-driven equipment, plant protection equipment and others. Also, students will able to calibrate simple farm machine operation, field efficiency and working capacity.

Learning Target Outcomes: After this unit students should be able to: 1. Determine different sources of farm power used in farming practices. 2. Identify and use farm tools and implements used in farm mechanization. 3. Demonstrate between primary and secondary tillage and its importance to farming. 4. Perform calibration of simple farm machines, field efficiency and working capacity. 5. Demonstrate basic skills and knowledge in the utilization of power and energy for farming business and mechanization system.
