Unit Name: Farm Environment System Practice

Description: To provide the students with the basic knowledge, concepts and principles of environmental science and management systems to improve farm resource management and productivity. Students will learn about ecosystem functions and relationships, and environmental processes: meteorological, ecological, geological, and biological factors, landscape development, biodiversity management, agri-energy resources, and agri-waste management systems.

Learning Target Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to: 1. Applies established methods for ensuring environmental protection in the event of failure. 2. Identifies the major factors that have impacts on the sustainability practice of the agricultural engineering profession or areas of concern, especially in the management and conservation of farm resources for sustainable farm enterprise. 3. Selects and applies basic agricultural engineering management tools to the planning and conservation of farm resources for sustainable farm enterprise.
