Unit Name: AEE Systems Faults & Diagnosis

Description: This course enables the students to acquire an in-depth enhancement of the ability to demonstrate the principles of automotive engines performance OBD/OBD 11 scanner, Alternative Drive Workshop is essential for the mechanic to carry out the components tests have made engines more fuel-efficient an also reduced the number of emission devices that are needed. Also, carry out fault diagnosis using the latest technology tools (scan tools) to retrieve trouble codes. Its function will broaden student knowledge in understanding the very basics of this system, which will later help them to carry out diagnosing of any vehicle model Alternative Drive Workshop faults.

Learning Target Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Distinguish fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance, service and repair on Battery electric vehicle [BEV]. 2. Analyze fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance, service and repair systematic procedures on High Voltage & Auxiliary battery systems. 3. Scrutinize fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance, service and repair systematic procedures on Hybrid Drive Configuration system. 4. Investigate fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance, service and repair systematic procedures on Hybrid & Electrical Safety System. 5. Prove the operation, fault diagnosis, service and repair systematic procedures, service and repair systematic procedures on Fuel Cell systems.
