Unit Name: Panel Forming Techniques

Description: This course is designed to introduce student?s purpose & the involvement of different forms of shapes in Vehicle Panels. This unit will also give students and opportunity to attain hands on experience in allowing students to shape normal sheet metal into various panel shapes of a vehicle. It will enable students to acquire hands on experience of bending to form curved panel, ridges and compound curves.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1. Understand the sheet metal properties and characteristics. 2. Understand actions to improve the environmental management of their operations. 3. Demonstrate right-angle bending. 4. Describe the procedures for box sections fabrication. 5. Describe the procedure of Forming a partial door panel.
