Unit Name: Welding and Rust Repairs

Description: This course provides the students with in-depth knowledge of different kinds of welding and equipment?s used in welding. Completion of this unit will enable students to acquire a thorough in-depth knowledge of how to do welding, soldering and brazing.

Learning Target Outcomes: On successful completion of this course, students will be able to: 1: Identify oxy-acetylene welding equipment and techniques. 2: Name general brazing and soldering techniques used in the body shop. 3: Explain the difference in welding with each of the three types of current. 4: State how to use the MIG welding machine. 5: Explain how the flame-cutting process works.
