The Master of Arts in History program thoroughly examines historical eras, occasions, and subjects. Students do in-depth studies, evaluate sources critically, and understand original materials. The course material encourages students to specialize in cultural, political, or social history by fostering a profound awareness of historical contexts and approaches. Graduates are prepared for positions in academia, archives, museums, and other fields needing historical competence, given their excellent research skills and knowledge of history.

Grade point average of 3 out of 5, Grade B and above in PGD in History or equivalent. Those candidates who do not meet the minimum grade point average requirements must have served in relevant areas (teaching, research, industry) for at least three years and would have gained sufficient knowledge and developed the aptitude to undertake higher studies.
