| Programme Description | The Preparatory Course for Engine Watch Rating (EWR) is based on Section A-III/4 and on the mandatory minimum requirement for knowledge, understanding and proficiency in the Table A-III/4 of the STCW Code for the function Marine Engineering at the Support Level. The purpose of this course is to provide the participant the knowledge, skills and understanding to the trainees to successfully achieve the Certificate of Proficiency of an Engine Watch Rating Examination conducted by the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji. |
| Minimum Requirement | • Shall not be less than 18 years of age, at the time of closing of applications. • Hold Basic Safety Training Certificate. • Approved Sea-time Assessment Form (page 2 – Declaration of Sea Service of MSAF Form No. 4 • Medical certificate from an MSAF approved doctor that includes eyesight test. |
