Programme Description
The course will cover the competence, maintaining a safe engineering in Table A-III/1 of STCW 78’ Convention as amended. The course material is developed as per requirements of Knowledge understanding and proficiency stated in column 2 of the table paragraph, Engine-room Resource Management.
The participant will need to complete the Updating course for engineers (Operational Level) before enrolling for ERM. Student who successfully complete this course, are issued with a certificate by FMA Engine Resource Management.

Note: Includes Practical Exercises on Engine room Resources Simulator (ERS)
Minimum Requirement
•	The applicant shall not be less than 18 years of age at the time of closing applications.  
•	Hold Class 3, Class 4 or Class 5 Engineer Certificate of Competency issued by the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji, having           approved seagoing service performing functions appropriate to the certificate held for a period of at least one year in total            during the preceding 5 years before the application or;
•	Those who wish to re-validate their certificates of competency issued by the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji, under STCW          78’ Convention as amended.
