| Programme Description | The purpose of this course is to provide proper and effective training towards Fijian Communities to attain the boat master training that would qualify the learner for a Small Boat Master Licensing (20 GT or less and 15m or less). The Boat Master License is the entry level license issued by the Maritime Safety Authority of Fiji. Any operator of the plentiful small boats in Fiji are supposed to hold a Boat Master License issued by the Maritime Safety Authority Fiji (MSAF). The delivery of the training is designed for both on Campus and remotely in the community. |
| Minimum Requirement | • Applicant shall not be less than the minimum age of 16 years of age. • Shall hold Basic Sea Safety Certificate • Hold a valid medical certificate to work in the deck department (as per MSAF format). |
